Curriculum Vitae
The million-dollar question: Why would a business professional seek a doctorate in educational technology? Educational Technology is a multidiscipline field; for me, technologies are necessary in our society. How we design for learning is a critical foundation for knowledge transfer, as learning is an essential part of every discipline. Diverse disciplines bring new knowledge to the table. No matter the discipline, education exists - learning and design - and technological tools and solutions make our nation more prosperous.
I prefer qualitative research but appreciate the benefits of quantitative research. My current research is on intersectional identity in Learning, Design, and Technology. How important is identity? How important is it for all your identities to be considered in learning?

Research Presentation
According to the Society for Learning Analytics Research, learning analytics can be used to understand and optimize the learning environment. LA is a data-driven approach to improving learning outcomes by collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data related to a learner's educational journey. By leveraging this data, instructors, and administrators can identify learner behavior patterns and areas for improvement. For example, struggling students or inefficient curricula. LA is multi-faceted and includes measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of learners' data. Click the poster to begin the presentation.
